Many stores are running out of eggs because several egg producers are facing problems.
The main reason for this shortage is a salmonella outbreak that happened at CA Cedergren, the biggest egg producer in Sweden, in December. Since then, it has been difficult for the egg market to recover.
In the middle of April, CA Cedergren had to stop delivering eggs because the salmonella infection was spreading. To prevent more contamination, they had to cull over 320,000 chickens in May.
But Maud Cedergren, who runs CA Cedergren, is determined to find solutions and get back into the market.
